Hydro Angels Over America was featured on Fox KABB 29, Focus on South Texas. Sheri Burdine, President and Mallory Patzke with son Macade, Katherine Hawk with her son Morgan spoke with Mikela Lincoln about their (3) different journeys of diagnoses and living with hydrocephalus. Fox29 did a fantastic job airing information about hydrocephalus; our HAOT organization, and our April 2, event was mentioned. Although the show aired at 5:30am Sat. March 26 & Sun.27, we reached many people and made a difference.
Inside Morgan’s Wonderland, a paved pathway meanders around a tranquil eight acre lake. The path is adorned by six themed rest areas representing countries from around the world, and ten kinetic sculptures dancing in the breeze. Embedded within this ¾ mile pathway are eighty-eight 24” round, translucent lighted “stepping stones” that glow beautifully beginning at dusk. Each depicts the heralded Morgan’s Wonderland logo – a butterfly in flight. Each year, Morgan's Wonderland will honor the accomplishments of a select number of individuals who, through submitted recommendations, will forever be a part of Morgan’s Wonderland. The chosen Walk Fame honorees will be recognized at an exceptional event each year when we will reveal their names and share their stories.Walk of Fame honorees will embody character traits such as determination, caring, achievement, sacrifice and inclusion.
Sheri A. Burdine along with four other exceptional and inspirational individuals were honored at the first Annual "Free to Soar ~ Morgan's Wonderland Gala" on Saturday September 18, 2010. Sheri was honored for her determination of creating hydrocephalus awareness, and her achievements in founding Hydro Angels Over Texas; though she faces the same challenges living with hydrocephalus.
Congratulations to our Founder and to all the 2010 Walk of Fame Honorees!
